Box / Narrow vertical carved grooves with copper

A small vessel for secret treasures.

Handmade in stoneware, its textured surface invites touch. Finished with a copper wash over a transparent glaze, it was fired in a gas kiln in a reduction atmosphere. This process brings out a depth and subtle variations in colour that I can't reproduce in my electric kiln. One of a kind.
